Introductions: 3yr old diagnosed - worries mum
Hi, I'm just looking for some advice please as I don't do well with the unknown. After a scan today I got told my 3yr old has a small hole in her heart and her right side is enlarge. I know that holes are common and it's a simple procedure to close it. But the consultant then went on to say he is not sure that the blood flowing in the wrong direction is caused by the hole as the hole its self is small and he shouldn't be seeing what he is seeing. He has referred us to specialist in London (which is in two weeks) but he wouldn't elaborate.
I'm just need to know if anyone has been told a similar story and what the outcome/prognosis/diagnosis was. I realise it could've many things, but I did know I was going to be told any of this today... actually thought they would tell me I was a Mum who worries too much as for the last year I've been fighting to get her the scan she had today against dr telling me she's fine! So I fully expected for it to be fine and that I was worrying about her being breathless and turning blue for nothing. So I really don't want to be surprised again, if anyone can help..?
