Feedback on the BHF: Disappointed with link to Warburtons
I was disappointed to see that BHF have got into bed with Warburton bread producers. There is mounting evidence that a low carb diet is the most effective heart friendly diet, better than than the Med' diet and certainly better than the low fat diet. In fact any natural product based diet would outperform the low fat diet in my and other reserachers opinion. One of our main sources of excess carb' is certainly bread. Couple this with the detrimental health effects of modern dwarf wheat and we have strong argument for everyone lowering there bread consumption. In fact I would go as far as to say that if you saw (unlikely I know) a 100% reduction in bread consumption then heart disease rates would plummet. I would therefore ask the BHF to think again about cosying up to a bread producer. There are so many natural food products the BHA can endorse but bread is not one of them.
