Introductions: Dreadful arrhythmias now I'm on Veramapil
Hi Everyone, I'm new and at a complete loss as to what to do. I initially had heart failure and Left Ventricular Dysfuntion in 2012 and whilst all went well, I spent the next 5 years feeling like passing out and no brain function on Bisoprolol. New Consultant who agreed I could come off, but then along came tachycardias +++, including Broad Complex. Fortunately, I had bought a Prince 180D ECG and was able to record what was going on. The Consultant was happy with that. I had a Stress Echo and that showed some Atrial Fibrillation. I had already been on Veramapil 120 for a week, but stopped it as told 2 days previous. However, four weeks have gone by and besides Supraventricular Tachycardias, Broad and Narrow Complex, missed beats, ectopics, short beat intervals, blah blah blah, I have got worse. It's every day .... really wanting to pass out and feeling nauseous. I had left the ECG alone for about a week, but yesterday it was so bad and I recorded it and today again. When I downloaded it, they were both the same and I'm confident it's Atrial Fibrillation. I am waiting for an appt for Ablation, but meanwhile am struggling with this. The GP wrote last week to the Consultant re the medication and it takes about 4 weeks. He won't phone. I'm between the devil and the deep blue sea here as there's no inbetween care/access to the hospital. Has anyone any idea please and/or had experience of my dilema and can advise me how to go about getting sorted? I would be so very grateful. Thank you so much. Kind Regards, Denise.
