Have you heard about our Mending Broken Hearts Appeal?

Our Mending Broken Hearts Appeal is our biggest challenge yet. At the moment, there's no cure for a broken heart. Once your heart muscle is damaged by a heart attack, it can never fully recover. But there is hope.

We need to spend £50 million to fund groundbreaking research that could begin to literally 'mend broken hearts' in as little as ten years time.

Your support can give hope to hundreds of thousands of people across the UK.

If you are taking part in our Mending Broken Hearts Appeal? Tell us what you are doing and find out more about the appeal on our website.

Hi Annie, great to hear from you.

It is always fantastic to hear about people who have been touched by the appeal, I have to say it really did hit a chord with me, and not only because I work at the BHF. The whole concept is just so inspiring.

Thanks again, great to hear your story.

I had the privalidge of visiting a group of very special scientists at Cambridge University last week alon with Judy and Fiona from the BHF. We were greeted with open arms and shown the work they are doing on the Mending Broken Hearts project.

There will be an article in June's Heart Matters so I don't want to say too much but I must say that it gives me hope for the future of those of us living with Heart Failure .......... not to mention those who may be diagnosed in the future.

Although practicle application is a long way off it's was an amazing experience and as Roberto says - truely inspiring, I was in awe of what was happening behind the image of a wee Zebra fish!

We really need to rise to the rally call and help - where possible - to raise as much money for the campaign as we can.

Another reason why I'm running the Silverstone Half Marathon - 24 days and counting ...... eeek!
