Profile Picture

Hi folks - my name is Tim Wilcox. My avatar is a Zebrafish and I use it on other forums that I'm a member of. (See if you can find me in The Hope Tank.) I'm way too ugly to use a photo of myself; you'd avoid reading my posts if you had to look at it! What else can I tell you . . . I'm 50 (as of summer 2011), married, live in Devon and have a grown up step-son.

Like most people I guess, I hadn't taken any particular interest in the BHF until May 2011 when I had a MI. Within days, I was devouring the content of this site, along with many excellent BHF publications that I picked up in hospital. I confess I was disappointed to find that there was no online forum for discussion at that time. Luckily, I didn't have to wait very long!

Work wise, I'm the Content Manager for a community website that's about as far removed from this one as it's possible to get. It's called www.trade2win.com and it's aimed at people who are interested in trading the financial markets. I hope that I'll be able to put to good use the knowledge and experience I've gained there - to help make this forum an invaluable resource - for fellow heart patients like myself and medical professionals alike.

Stay well!

Tim.
